Hey everyone (: I really don't know how to make an animation with screencaps. I want to make a mini-movie icon.
Every tutorial I can find is for Photoshop or something else, but I'm using Gimp.

Does anyone know a tutorial for that?

I'm glad about every help!

  • 14:44 @frankenteen LOL I cannot wait for this to blow up to ridiculous proportions. And no, it's not too much to ask. ;) #
  • 15:52 Whether I'm accepting an honorary doctorate or performing a citizen's arrest, people ask me, "Sue, what's your secret?" #
  • 16:57 @mrschimpf I thought the Stabler family members were special victims... of bad story lines. *Ba Dun CRASH* #
  • 19:51 @IJennaUsh We westcoasters are anxiously anticipating it! And in our house we've been having a Glee-a-thon to prepare. :) #
  • 22:02 @juliamca Yay, I'm so glad you're a fan! :) #

  • 23:05 FaBerry sounds like a Slushie flavor. RT: @auriflamme: Last names, eh? FINE. Though I liked Ruinn... @_defygravity_ #
  • 23:15 Especially now that he has all this time on his hands. RT: @brendensparks: Here's hoping Joss brings NPH to his directed episode #

I wrote a guide on how to be more inclusive of people with disabilities when doing a campaign of some sort. I think I waffled back and forth between Political Campaign and Handing Out Leaflets Campaign, but there's food for thought for anyone who does such things.

[The problem with scheduling things so far in advance - I think I wrote this a week and a half ago, and had completely forgotten it was going up.]

Hot off the New York Times digital press...

This Just in From the 1890s

As many of you know in Sep at dragon*con as part of the http://www.chronotrack.org/ We had the very first Steampunk Fashion show at Dragon con

The fashion show Producer was Berit of http://www.beritnewyork.com/ who organized the designers ,models and performers for the fashion show, all after just having had her wisdom teeth pulled and not being able to take pain melds for it.

Your MC was the one and only G. D. Falksen http://www.gdfalksen.com who writes stuff of wonder like this that you must read.

After a number of months there are now good photos up! and I hope at some time one of the 6 people I saw shooting video of this show eventually posts the whole thing to Youtube . Many people would love to see it and I got tossed in the to the show last moment and did not get to see it.

So on to the thing you care about the Eye candy.

Recreating this effect?

  • Nov. 12th, 2009 at 11:30 AM
I love this effect and I was wondering if it would be possible to recreate it for a batch of icons I'm planning on making?

Thanks in advance
I'm using Photoshop [Photoshop 7 or cs4, I have both on seperate computers]

Is now going to bed after an EPIC day of ficcing. And Gleeing. And Glee-ficcing.
TITLE: Nothing Like Love to Pull You Up (6/?)
FANDOM: Glee
PAIRING: Rachel/Quinn
SUMMARY: Several years later, Quinn and Rachel reconnect.
RATING: PG
WORD COUNT: 1500
SPOILERS: Anything through Wheels is fair game.
DISCLAIMER: Not mine. Just playing with them. They promise to keep their hands and arms inside the vehicle at all times.
NOTES: I've seen "Madison" used as the name for Quinn's baby a couple times, now, and I like it. So, I ran with it. This is to be a lengthy bit of fluff/angst/shippiness to balance out all that porn. The title's from a Celine Dion song of which I prefer a certain cover. I don't know how long this will be, but I have a long way which I'd like to see it go. As if I needed another WIP. But, really, I did. So, let's roll.
MORE NOTES: This is actually a sequel to Like a Record, Baby. And thanks to everyone who has already commented. Also, this fic very easily might take over my NanoWrimo project, so there's a strong possibility that this might be taking off toward 50,000 words. ;)

And maybe you could take me in. )

( curious? )
Hi there! I just joined, hoping someone in this community might be able to help me out. I'm directing a musical in San Francisco, and my vision for the production is that it takes place in a steampunk-esque world - it's a fantasy adventure story about a troupe of traveling actors in a time of war - the given time period on the script is "five years after 'Once Upon A Time'", so it's like this blending of a fairy tale world into industry.

That all said, I am in search of a costume designer for this project - it's a paid job, with a materials budget. Experiencing doing costuming for theatre is a plus, but what I'm really looking for is someone who can use creativity, ingenuity, and resourcefulness to bring this world to life through the costumes.

If I've piqued anyone's interested, feel free to e-mail me at reynaldilolong@gmail.com or comment here with your e-mail. Feel free to pass this along to anyone you know who might be interested as well... thank you!

Quick question about the tutorials here

  • Nov. 12th, 2009 at 1:42 AM
I'm going through some tutorials that use selective color. When I went to try the tutorials in Photoshop CS2, I noticed that there's an option on selective color that can be set to "Relative" or "Absolute". When I'm trying out a tutorial, which setting should I have it on to achieve the demonstrated coloring?

Thank you!

Title: Together We're Unlimited
Fandom: Glee.
Warnings: Spoilers for “Wheels” (1x09)
Characters/couples: Rachel, Kurt, and a tiny cameo by Mercedes.
Summary: Kurt thinks that he should already be used to never getting what he wants.
Rating: G.
Notes: So, as much as I loved this episode - which I did - there was a scene that I was hoping to see within the show and... it didn't happen, which made me sad, because it was so very awesome in my head. So I decided to write it, even though that way is somewhat a little less awesome. Let's call it a Could Have Been Missing scene, shall we?

I have no idea if this is even possible, but I was just wondering if you could bring back unexpectedly-closed files on PSCS3.

I was working on these icons [which took me FOREVER], then my laptop shuts down unexpectedly. Is there a way to bring these files back??

Any suggestions would be amazing. TIA!
